I’m new to yoga. Where should I start?

You can start your yoga practice with the beginner level programs. Please mention this to your assigned yoga teacher so that your yoga programs will be structured accordingly.

What should you have with you during your yoga class

Please keep your yoga mat+ water bottle+ small towel

What should I wear during my yoga class

Very loose clothes and very tight clothes are not a comfortable wear for doing yoga asanas. During yoga asanas body moves upside down, downside up, lot of twists ,turns,. Hence comfortable clothing like T-shirts, shorts, lower, track pant make yoga asana practice easy. We recommend you to wear cotton track pants or shorts and cotton t-shirt or sweatshirt.

Can we do yoga empty stomach?

If you are doing early morning, just after waking up, then you can do yoga empty stomach

Can I eat before class?

Yes you can. If you have had fruits do your yoga after 30 minutes, if you have had light snack do your yoga after 2 hours and if you have had a complete meal give a break of 3 hours and then do your yoga practice.

How much experience do I need

To join our classes you can be a beginner or an expert in yoga if you think so.

Varies with the type of class that you have joined .

You will be learning Ashtanga yoga.

What are the benefits of doing yoga?

Yoga is an ancient Indian science and also a collective wisdom of ancient Indian yogi’s & rishi munis .  Yoga practice brings perfect balance of body & mind, brings in prana vayu and activates all the glands of the body resulting in release of happy hormones. Thus yoga brings in absolute harmony and holistic health in human body.

What is the ideal time for doing yoga?

Anytime is perfect for your yoga session, we only need to keep in mind the gap between meal taken and yoga session.

What measures should be taken into consideration while doing yoga?

Few measures that need to be kept in mind before your yoga session- gap between your meal and yoga session, do yoga on a flat surface and on a yoga mat only. Also before your yoga session try and take a light shower as it opens the pores of the skin. Furthermore a light shower provides the stretch and facilitates the yoga asana postures. Post yoga sessions also try and take a shower as it will make you feel fresh and rejuvenated. These measures will take you quite closer to your fitness target and achieve them as well.

Which age group can do yoga?

Yoga can be done from the age of 4 years onwards till 100 + years of age . The yoga asanas are planned/customised according to the respective physical strength of that age group and of the student learning yoga asanas.

Can pregnant women do yoga?

Yes but under a traind yoga guru only

Do yoga asanas help in fat loss?

Yoga asanas is a gradual and sequential set of physical stretching which makes the student patient. In this process the student gets mental peace and body starts listening to the structured efforts. Hence the results are constructive and the body starts getting leaner and fitter. The result is fat loss with strength training as well.

I have refrained from doing yoga as it looks quite boring activity?

Yoga asanas are the only form of exercise to which you will keep looking forward as they involve lot of variation. Once a certain set of asanas is mastered by the student,he/she is taken to the next level. With various form of asanas there is a least possibility of boredom. And in the long run, with better energy levels throughout the day the student of yoga always looks forward to the yoga sessions.

 

Do yoga sessions result in body pain?

Yoga asanas release the stiffness if it exists in any part of the body and makes that body part more flexible. The flexibility in the body aids in releasing the pain, if any existing already. Yoga asanas are the only exercise which bring calmness in the body and with better physical state, you achieve a higher mental state automatically.

I love going to gym/walking/running/pilates and don’t want to do yoga.

All exercises have their benefits and are equally important. If you are going to gym/or walking everyday/or running these exercises will definitely help you but to bring the results in totality yoga has to be in your exercise routine.

I fear yoga will invite injury as I can’t even think of doing such complicated asanas

Yoga asanas are a natural form of strength training and are almost injury proof when done under a trained yoga teacher. The daily chores or are life pattern is way ahead prone to injury than this age old science.

I do mediation, so is yoga still required.

Yoga asanas help you meditate actively. During yoga asanas you are actively concentrating on your body postures, breathing, inhaling ,exhaling, retention which makes your mind more sharp and focussed and your are able to meditate more peacefully .Yoga asanas will help you meditate the way you never could earlier.

Is power yoga the best form of yoga.

We have not come across a yoga school by the name of power yoga . Power yoga is a recently created term by the media or rather yoga teachers who have not gone into the depth of this science . Power yoga is something that has no mention by gurus of yoga who belonged to ancient India and hence it is actually  not any form of  yoga .

Can we increase immunity through Yoga?

Yoga asana practice uses micro muscular energy channel of our body. This means that yoga practice has the potential impacts us positively at the cellular level. If we make yoga asana, pranayama, meditation part of our daily schedule, we can definitely increase our immunity levels.

What are the benefits of joining online yoga classes?

Online yoga is need of today’s times and it certainly has lot of benefits. Joining online yoga classes gives you the freedom of doing yoga from the comforts of your wherever you are. You don’t have to drive, ride or walk to your class . Hence the same time can be for your other activities also. Online yoga classes’ are safe and more practical solution.

How will I learn yoga online?

We will send you a web link which you can access through any of your gadget like android phone, mobile, laptop, desktop, tablet, ipad, smart tv   and join the yoga class. The teacher will be live and it will be just as a physical classes.

Can differently-abled/ disabled people do yoga?

Yes, We customise yoga programs keeping in view the physical challenges and  provide maximum physical and mental benefit.
